WHAT IS AN ORCHARDIST?
An orchardist is someone who works in Orchards on fruit trees .Athough the website name suggests I work on only apple trees, and the picture Perry pear trees, I actually work on any fruit tree. So why Orchardist ? To choose the title 'tree surgeon' in the drop down menu when form filling would be misleading and fruit tree tecnition doesn't appear as a choice.
The Peoples Trust for Endangered Species term a traditional orchard as at least 5 trees with no gaps but as well as working on commercial farms I also do fruit trees in peoples gardens

The aim of the website is to encourage people to look after their Orchards/fruit tree and hopefully hire me to do it!! There are contacts of other sites of interest such as Orchard Groups . If its fruit tree maintanence your after then look no further .If on the other hand you arrived here thinking I fix computers please don't feel you've wasted your time skip to photos or gallery and look at some lovely pictures ,Ceramics and sculptures all with an orchard theme . WHAT DO I OFFER AND WHERE DO I OFFER IT?
I offer a complete srevice from Surveying the ground deciding on the rootstock and varieties , marking out the ground planting and of course the ongoing pruning work . I can suply the trees ties and gaurds.I also do the odd talk on fruit trees to Schools and Community Orchard groups and although I charge its not a fortune. In the season I can supply Plums Apples and Pears which are tree ripened and local .
I am based in Cheltenham Gloucestershire and work in the surrounding counties of Worcs .Herfords and Oxfords but have been known to make forays further afield you never know lest you ask !!
